Below, we’ve included answers to some of the most common questions we’ve heard from patients over the years for your convenience. Of course, you’re encouraged to call us directly if your question is not mentioned.
How often should I visit for routine dental checkups?
Most patients only need to visit once every six months to have a checkup completed. Children should have their first dental checkup within six months of their first tooth erupting or by their first birthday. With that said, those who have gum disease will need to visit more frequently, or every three to four months depending on the severity of their infection.
Can you place dental implants in-house?
Not only are we able to perform dental implant placement entirely under one roof, but we offer multiple solutions depending on the extent of your tooth loss. Additionally, our dental technology, including our advanced 3D cone beam scanner and surgical guides, ensures you get the most comprehensive tooth replacement process possible.
Will my dental crown look natural?
Maintaining the appearance of your smile is very important to us when it comes to restorative dentistry, which is why we use materials from dental manufacturers we highly trust. Filtek Supreme and Spectra Dentsply ensure a natural-looking restoration that’s designed to withstand daily use for many years to come, giving you confidence in the form and function of your smile.
Can you help me treat my sleep apnea?
Our in-house 3D cone beam scanner enables us to closely examine your oral structures and perform a detailed analysis to confirm the presence and severity of issues related to the airway, including sleep apnea. We use this data to inform our decision-making when it comes to your treatment plan, whether that includes a customized oral appliance or additional examination from a sleep physician.
Do I need metal braces to straighten teeth?
Not necessarily. This truly depends on the type of orthodontic issues you are dealing with and how severe it may be. We offer multiple solutions at our dental office that make use of customized clear aligners, rather than metal brackets and wires, to straighten teeth and correct misaligned bites.
Does tooth pain mean I need an extraction?
Not always, but we’ll want to complete an emergency exam to make sure nothing serious is developing inside your mouth. With that said, we always consider extraction of teeth to be a last resort. In the event the tooth is too damaged or an infection has become severe, we may recommend an extraction as part of your treatment plan.
Can you enhance my smile?
We offer multiple cosmetic services to make your smile look exactly the way you want it to, including metal-free restorations, in-office whitening, take-home whitening kits, and smile makeovers. You can even provide a preview of your smile with digital smile design software!
